The records I would never sell

A shelf that makes no financial sense and perfect personal sense.

The smallest evidence can hold the largest part of a collection's meaning. Dates, initials, places and short observations turn an inventory into a history that another person can understand.

Collecting software is good at counting. The harder question is whether it preserves enough context for an object to make sense when the original owner is no longer there to explain it.

The value was never only what the objects could be sold for. It was knowing why each one was still there.

The record before the record

A useful collection record separates facts from memories without treating either as disposable. A serial number is evidence. A receipt is evidence. But a remembered place or person can still be part of why someone cares twenty years later.

Private and still connected

Documenting a collection never requires publishing it. CollectLeague treats privacy, community and commerce as separate decisions.

This fixture demonstrates citation architecture. Editorial claims remain distinct from canonical catalog and provenance assertions; no external source registry is connected yet.
